   HANDYMAN – (NOVATEK LUSAKA) (02)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• In conjunction with the supervisor, procuring job cards involving the maintenance and upkeep of the property, physically checking the same and diagnosing faults to determine cause, and extent of damage and material requirements to repair the same.
• Carrying out daily inspections to ensure that all equipment and buildings are functioning as per normal. Should he discover any abnormalities, he is to immediately bring this to the attention of his supervisor, as this could affect the efficiency of production within the plant.
• Adhering to a planned maintenance schedule by carrying out servicing and maintenance work.
• In conjunction with the supervisor, ensuring that a high standard of work is always carried out thus ensuring buildings and property always function efficiently and look good.
• Preparing lists of spares / materials required and submitting the same to the superior and completing Job Card reports on all work carried out, highlighting work done. Spares / materials consumption, downtime etc. for the attention of the superior.
• Motivating and developing a good working relationship with his colleagues in line with company manpower policies.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Construction or any related field.
• 3 years relevant experience.

SECURITY OFFICER – NOVATEK LUSAKA (01)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• Monitoring and authorising entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Capturing and recording details of all vehicles buying and selling goods at Novatek in the Zambeef utility and ensuring that the vehicles are cleared out on the utility when the transaction is completed.
• Checking parcels, pockets and suspicious items.
  Patrolling industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensuring security of doors, windows and gates.
• Writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons or unusual occurrences.
• Counting and verifying goods being dispatched and physical inspection during the loading of the goods
• Ensuring that the goods received have been recorded at the gate and that the vehicle offloading has a permit from security at the gate.
• Ensuring that the goods being delivered have a valid Novatek purchase order that has been approved by senior management.
• Verifying that the goods being delivered are the same as those on the purchase order.
• Verifying that the delivered goods are accompanied by the required documentation i.e., delivery note, and tax invoice.
• Checking loading of trucks with finished goods as indicated on the invoice, supported by Release Order, Loading Order and Proof of First Weight.
• Counting and completing the Security Counting Sheets accurately as the truck is being loaded.
• Ensuring that the correct feed or raw materials is being loaded by comparing the tags, were applicable, against the invoice.
• Ensuring that company property is secure from misappropriation and or reports instances of suspect.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Security Training Certificate
• 1 year of work experience
