Job Description
KEY QUALIFICATIONS, QUALITIES & ABILITIES
- Full grade twelve certificate with a minimum of a credit in English and Mathematics.
- A relevant Diploma from reputable university and/or a College.
- At least 2-3 years work experience in Law enforcement.
- Should be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Strong investigative skills
- Good interviewing and report writing skills.
- Able to complete task efficient and effectively.
- Willing to travel at any given time.
- Leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic Computer skills
- Good communication skills
- A high level of analytical skills.
- Excellent work ethic
- Extensive knowledge of legal requirements and compliance regulations.
- Professional relationships with various law enforcement agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of MLife’s key risk areas for potential fraud.
- Investigate potential fraud cases provided by the business and submission to relevant authorities.
- Expected to work closely with Heads of Departments on potentially high fraud risk areas.
- Evaluate business activities (e.g. Claims, Underwriting) to assess fraud risk.
- Educate and train employees on how to spot or identify fraud and implications.
- Develop and manage full-time investigations processes, ensuring they are executed in a sensitive and confidential manner and with the highest levels of efficiency and propriety.
- Conducting field enquiries (such as site visits).
- Conducting interviews with potential witnesses and the subjects of investigations.
- Contacting various government and non-government agencies to obtain records as required during the course of an investigation.
- Prepare concise and timely reports on activities related to investigations and report to the Risk and Compliance office.
- Attend court and other legal proceedings to provide evidence on matters that arise in the normal course of duty.
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned from time to time.
- Develop and implement an effective investigations program.
