Our client in the Transportation and Logistics Industry, seeks to hire a Builder/foreman. The role holder will be responsible for construction projects from start to finish. In addition, the role holder will have a strong foundation in building and construction, excellent leadership qualities and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
– Leadership & Supervision: Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors and laborers, ensuring they work efficiently and adhere to project plans.
– Project Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate all construction activities, including resource allocation, labor management, and material procurement.
– Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is performed to high standards of craftsmanship and in accordance with project specifications, blueprints, and building codes.
– Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols on the job site, conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
– Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, making adjustments to schedules or plans as needed.
– Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
– Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, material usage, labor hours, and other project-related data.

Qualifications

– Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year in a foreman or supervisory role.
– Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations; proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
– Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and manage multiple aspects of construction projects simultaneously.
– Certifications: Relevant craft certifications are preferred.
– Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor, work in various weather conditions, and operate construction equipment
