About the role
We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Fitter to be based at our client site in Kansashi in Zambia.

The primary purpose of this role is to provides maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management.

The Fitter – Asset provides maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management.

What you will be doing

Scheduling servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance;
Ensuring the maintenance of MMUs and fixed plant conform to SAP PM;
Knowing and adhering to relevant procedures, statutory requirements and codes (AEC, ADG,MPU, AS2187);
Continually reassessing risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required
Providing Product Pump rebuild
Mentoring of staff and local service contractors in the support of Orica’s Operations;
Supporting local area Field Support Technician Provides onsite and phone based technical support. Assists Lead – Asset, Supervisor – Maintenance and Territory Managers as required;
Providing feedback to Lead – Asset on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions Compiles Alerts and bulletins for continuous improvement and corrective action tasks.
What you will bring

Qualified as a Fitter
Generally up to 2 years experience.
Technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)
