The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) has set a Devolution agenda for ease of service delivery at the Local Authority Level with the aim of facilitating increased rural development.

In this regard, the Government of the Republic of Zambia is implementing the Zambia Devolution Support Program (ZDSP) with the financing facility from the World Bank. The responsible institution for the Program is the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD). A Program Steering Committee (PSC) will provide an oversight during Program implementation.

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development now wishes to engage the services of suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Financial Management Specialist, in the Zambia Devolution Support Program (ZDSP), Program Management Unit (PMU):

JOB PURPOSE

The Financial Management Specialist will be the lead expert on all Program Financial Management issues in accordance with Government policies/guidelines and World Bank policies/guidelines. S/he will be responsible for monitoring Financial Management risks already identified and identifying emerging risks. Working in liaison with other PMU members, the Financial Management Specialist will provide technical support to the Program on Financial management.
