Job Description
We are currently looking for a Field Technician to be based at the Head Office.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In his/her role, the Field Technician will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and repair of equipment’s.
- Perform repairs in the field on active construction and mining sites
- Troubleshoot major equipment components such as electrical, engines and fuel systems
- Perform adjustments and settings to manufacturer specifications
- Perform Preventive and/or Predictive Maintenance tasks and procedures on a wide range of equipment (Komatsu, Generators)
- Maintain all tooling (inclusive pickups) under their control and good conditions
- Utilize electronic devices designed for troubleshooting and repairs (mustimeters, current clamp mete, flow meter)
- Prepare list of repair parts as required per company policy
- Perform adequate testing to ensure repairs have been correctly and totally made
- Provide a written description of work performed and time performed
- Produce required company documents in a timely manner
- Maintain company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Craft certificate in Auto electrical or better
- Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment repair will be an added advantage.
- 3 year previous work experience in similar capacity
- Good understanding of a busy field service environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills (Ms. Office)
- Good teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license (Manual)

- Working experience with international private organization
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively and set priorities
- Ability to work autonomous
- Willing to travel in Zambia (up to 50% of his time)
