Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the fabrication team to achieve production goals.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Oversee the daily operations of the fabrication department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize fabrication processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain equipment and machinery, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bucket, frames & structure repair/ manufacturing.
• Must be able to sketch and interpret mechanical drawings
• Must be able to come up with the bill of qty for material as well as consumables in liaison with the draughtsman.
• Must have a valid coded welder certificate
• Must have a valid EIZ license
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Craft certificate in fabrication
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
