Job Description


BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe (Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg) and in more than 20 African countries and employs more than 1.300 people, including more than 850 engineers and technicians.

What will be your responsibilities?

1.    Safety Assurance

  •  Ensure safety standards are adhered to

2.    Procurement

  • Buying
  • Expediting
  • Manage discrepancies for emergency and stock orders
  • Ensure that Orders are duly approved before transmission to supplier
  • Communicating to suppliers the right quality of goods and services in line with the company policy
  • Raising local purchase orders
  • Scrutinizing vendor tax invoices and forwarding to finance for payment
  • Advising the end users on ETA’s for goods on back order
  • Backorder management
  • Adherence to the procurement procedures/policies
  • Ensure timeous delivery of stock by consistently following-up with suppliers
  • Notify supplier immediately of shortages, damaged / incorrect items received
  • Process re-orders immediately for shortfall items depending on urgency according to procedure

3.    Logistic

  • Manage pre-alerts and communication with Clearing Agents/forwarders
  • Manage and update register for goods in transit
  • Manage documentation for repair and return shipments (Temporary exports)
  • Manage the ex-bonding process
  • Generate backorder reports and provide feedback to internal customers
  • Follow up on the shipments Removed in Bond
  • Maintain an update of customs regulations with regards to importation of parts

Who are we looking for?

Purchasing and Supply Diploma/Diploma transport &logistics or Equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience at same level
Procurement & Logistics experience a must
Excellent knowledge of MS Office application Excel & word a must
Knowledge of Pivoting tables and conditional formatting and other mathematical functions a must
Good English Language Skills (Written & Oral)
