1. Early Years Foundation Stage Teachers (2 positions)

Purpose of the Job

The school is seeking Early Years teachers who will facilitate and provide rich, diverse, and Christ-centred teaching to a young group of students. The curriculum seeks to adequately prepare students to enter Key Stage 1 with the necessary skills to learn to read, write, count, and learn independently.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5 O’levels; Minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education; Degree will be an added advantage
• Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia and in possession of a valid practicing license
• Experience in teaching EYFS and Primary Students, as well as being able to significantly contribute to extra-mural activities would be highly advantageous
• Experience in an internationally based school environment is an added advantage

• The ability to inspire, engage and enthuse young children
• Self-driven individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision, and enjoys working with others in achieving the larger goals of the school
• Good organizational skills to plan the day and respond to the different needs of the children they teach
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to teach several age-groups in combined classes within an EYFS and/or primary setting is an added advantage
• Proven experience in extra-mural activities that will benefit the school timetable and provide students with a wider range of activities outside the classroom
• Good IT skills, and fluent in both English and Bemba
