Through our healthcare centers, pharmacies, health plans, research, and other activities, AHF provides access to the latest HIV treatment for all who need it.

Due to its rapid growth of the Zambia Program, AHF is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the Position of Drivers (3) for its regional offices which are located in Choma, Kabwe, and Ndola.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Transportation of staff, essential commodities and documents to various destinations.
• Ensure that the vehicle(s) are always in a road worth condition.
• Must endeavor to adhere to safety regulations as provided for by AHF and the regulatory authorities.
• Ensures timely transportation for the admin offices, clinics, and RTP programs when needed.
• Picks up and drops off AHF guests from/to the airport or from any other point of departure.
• Will be required to update vehicle logbook which accounts for mileage of the vehicle(s), as well as the service due dates for the vehicle(s).
• Make sure that the vehicle is always kept clean.
• Will be responsible to report any faults that the vehicle may develop to the immediate supervisor for the purpose of having the vehicle repaired on time.
• Ensure that vehicle under his/her care is secured from loss or damage at all times.
• Makes timely reports on the due date of insurance and road licenses and work with the immediate supervisor to ensure vehicles are adequately covered throughout the year.
• Make sure that the vehicle(s) are refueled in accordance with the AHF guidelines.
• Works out a schedule for vehicle movement in collaboration with the relevant staff that is accommodative of all staff needs for transportation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, one must possess the following qualifications:

• Must be a holder of a valid type C1 driving license.
• Must have at least 3 years uninterrupted driving experience.
• Must be of sober character.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics will be an added advantage.
• Suitable candidates residing in the locations of our regional offices are encouraged to apply.
• Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain management certification is an added advantage.
