JOB VACANCY — DISSOLVED ACETYLENE PLANT OPERATOR
Afrox Zambia Limited is the leading Gases and Welding solutions company in Zambia. It is a Linde Company.
The company wishes to fill the vacant position of Dissolved Acetylene Plant Operator to be based in Ndola.
D.A PLANT OPERATOR
Reporting to the DA Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for Dissolved Acetylene (D.A) production, compression activities and ensuring adherence to company standards with respect to product quality, production and SHEQ processes, and facilitating maintenance of D.A Plant Equipment. Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that correct quantities and quality of D.A is produced in time to meet market demands, in a safe. sustainable, and responsible manner.
- Monitoring continuous improvement of production safety, quality, cost, and efficiency on site.
- Preparing timely and accurate D.A production reports.
- Support continuous improvement of production safety, quality, cost, and efficiency on site.
- Records amount of time consumed during operation and cylinder shipping data.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned from time to time by superiors.
Minimum Requirements
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in a manufacturing/process industry.
- A technical qualification relating to the industry will be an added advantage.
