Job Description
Reports To: The Director & President of Reviving Africa Canada.
Compensation: To be discussed during the interview.
Contract Length: 6 months with 3 months probation period. Reviewed at the end of term.
Job Overview:
The Director of Physical Programs in Zambia plays an important role in executing part of our vision: to alleviate poverty in Zambia through programs that cater to the physical needs of the people. This position works closely alongside the Director and President of Reviving Africa Canada to facilitate, lead, and monitor each program’s activities to achieve its goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Manages missionary leaders of each physical need program within each Reviving Africa Community Centre throughout Zambia to ensure goals are being achieved and the Community Centres are being well-kept and maintained
● Helps plan, execute and facilitate each physical need program (Food, Clothing, Education, and other programs, depending on the needs)
● Communicates regularly with the Director in Canada
● Works closely with the Director of Spiritual Programs to ensure holistic approach to the planning and executing of the programs, and to ensure personal accountability
● Travels regularly between RA Community Centres
● Lives on the field for a specified length of time, as per contractual agreement, to establish the required programs
● Assists in recruitment and selection of missionaries for each program
● Accepts and adheres to the Code of Conduct, Values, Mission, Vision and Doctrines of Faith of Reviving Africa
● Manages finances of Physical Programs as per financial guidelines
Qualifications:
● Experience in planning and running a food, clothing, and/or education program
● Experience in management
● Must have a heart and calling for missions, and a love for God and the lost
● Must have the support and blessings of spouse (if applicable) and leadership
● Caring and empathetic
● Proficient in English and Bemba
● Basic computer skills (e.g., uploading media, typing)
● Excellent communication skills
● Great interpersonal abilities
● Must possess good leadership qualities at all times
● Must have good organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities
● Ability to work as part of a team
● Excellent problem-solving abilities
● Must be creative and able to prioritize tasks in the face of many challenges
