Job description
The Programme “Enabling Access to Justice, Civil Society Participation and Transparency” (EnACT) aims at improving the Zambian population’s access to accountable institutions, to justice and to transparent government decision-making processes. To this end, EnACT supports Zambian civil society organisations in their work towards enhanced accountability and dialogue with state institutions. The Transparency International Zambia Chapter (TI-Z) is one of the longstanding partner organisations of the EnACT programme. TI-Z aims to promote integrity, democracy, rule of law and human rights. It fights against corruption in all its expressions and works towards systemic change at institutional and policy levels.
Your tasks
- Supporting the conduct of corruption-related research that captures qualitative research methodology and analysis e.g. the impact of corruption on women and girls, or corruption as an obstacle in accessing basic services for the poor population
- Supporting the development of an updated ‘advocacy and communication strategy’
- Packaging success stories and most significant/impact stories
- Development of a user-friendly digital communication and knowledge management system
- Mentoring and coaching selected staff in various communication, documentation and advocacy systems and strategies
- Support to project implementation strategies
Your profile
- University degree in communications, public relations, journalism, international relations, marketing, design or relevant field is mandatory; Specialised training/certificate in the related area is an asset
- Many years of professional relevant work experience at national or international level in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications or advocacy, international relations especially in the field of development/international cooperation
- First experiences in working abroad especially in Southern Africa and in intercultural contexts, experience in working as an advisor in the non-governmental sector
- Good communication, presentation, networking and advocacy skills
- Experience in the production of multimedia materials for the social media; good knowledge of social media platforms and experience in social media outreach
- Knowledge of promoting digital literacy and respective training formats
- Ability to research and analyse information
- Ability to create, edit and present information in clear and presentable formats (knowledge of IT tools, e.g. basic graphic design)
- Fluent in English
Location information
