Coppertone University, a private chartered and HEA accredited 9. The university is looking for suitably qualified person to fill the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor for External Relations and Partnerships

Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Shall accountable and report directly to the Vice Chancellor
2. Working with the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the wider Management Team, shall be expected to execute the following roles, including: building strong alliances and Partnerships with the District and City Councils within the Copperbelt area, local, regional and national authorities, and enhance the university’” collaborative initiatives with partners, including Colleges and Universities, nationally and internationally.
3. Further, shall be expected to engage with businesses and development bodies
4. Further still, demonstrate and build authentic and trusting relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, such as schools, communities and industries
5. Shall be committed to excellence
6. Shall engage with key interested persons and bodies to promote learning, teaching and public service
7. Shall be expected to vigorously advertise the university in terms business development
8. Shall provide strategic direction for building and maintaining regional, national and international partnerships
9. Shall exercise operational oversight of existing arrangements
9. Shall ensure the enhancement of international recruitment strategies, whilst also developing and enhancing our portfolio of international research partnerships.

Requirements:
1. Shall be possession of and earned PhD in a relevant field or its equivalent
2. Shall have at least 10 years post qualifying experience at a senior level, preferably in a university
3. Should possess commercial and entrepreneurial skills in approach, balancing strategic risk with reward, and ensuring the brand of Copperstone University is protected and enhanced
4. Self motivated, amiable and hardworking
