ABOUT US

Right to Care Zambia has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID – Action HIV project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The USAID Action HIV project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in IMIS, ICT or Social sciences
  • 1-year field experience with questionnaire and survey data
  • Experience in Microsoft office suite (advanced skills in Excel will be an added advantage)
  • Working knowledge of HIV/AIDs programs
  • 2 years’ experience in M&E working in a health facility.
  • Smart care Knowledge and experience
  • Experience in use of DISA and eLABS for electronic management of Laboratory information

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree IMIS, ICT or Social sciences
  • 2 years’ experience in M&E working in a health facility.
  • Smart care Knowledge and experience
  • 3 years’ experience in M & E working in a health facility.
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS Laboratory M & E an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Receive specimens from the provincial supported facilities, hospital wards and Courier.
  • Capture all samples received in the sample receiving logbook.
  • File all the requisition forms in an easy way to retrieve sequential order.
  • Electronic archiving of VL, HPV, COVID and EID requisition forms.
  • Provide timely feedback to the facilities regarding specimen rejections, incomplete data challenges (e.g., missing age, gender) as well as VL tests done for data quality improvements.
  • Ensure that Viral Load/COVID/HPV requests are sorted by order of received date in preparation for capturing on DISA.
  • Registration of specimen requisition forms into laboratory information system (DISA)/e-LABS
  • Prepare requisitions forms for delivery to reference labs.
  • Perform monthly data Validation and Verification
  • Support strengthening of eLABS utilization by facility staff.
  • Sorting, documenting, and dispatching of printed results to respective Health Facilities
  • Ensure accountability for the collected results by making sure the results shipping lists are completed and signed off on dispatch.
  • Conduct regular data verification and updates as required.
  • Identify and correct errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant project staff where necessary. Perform quarterly routine data quality assurance.
  • Report any problems or malfunction of DISA/eLABS immediately.
  • Ensure Good Data Management Practices (GDP) and ethics principles.
  • Monitor key lab indicators i.e., TAT, Result acknowledged and give feedback to facilities using BI Dashboard and e-LABS.
  • Provide TSS to facilities in Viral Load Cascade including, data completion and results utilization.
  • Monitor laboratory key indicators for the province for including specimen registrations, results acknowledgement facilities and give support facilities in use of eLABS.
  • Generate and write technical weekly and monthly Laboratory reports for submission to MoH and RTCZ team.
  • Provide quality monthly progress reports on VL, HPV, COVID-19 and EID tests.
  • Support Laboratory activities as needed
