To provide transactional banking solutions to the Retail client base and optimize revenue generation through client transactional activities. To manage, sell and grow transactional banking products pillar whilst ensuring the business remains competitive, relevant, and profitable
Achieve of net profit growth for business.
Drive an increase in average balance of specific portfolio of liabilities (i.e., call accounts, term deposits
and notice accounts) as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the Business·
Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients (optimizing revenue
opportunities) or by acquiring new clients.
Understand the impact of economic and client trends on the transactional banking business and
recommend appropriate action to reduce impact on the performance of the transactional banking
business.
Coordinate the implementation of designed solutions and manage the project implementation across
Business and Commercial clients.
Providing product support to the service and relationship teams.
Maximize Business Portfolio cross sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships
Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and
appropriate solutions.
Manage own development to increase own competencies.
Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent, and culture of team to
improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
Products – Interact with the various specialists in the Product houses to exploit cross-sell
opportunities. Stay in constant communication with the respective relationship teams,
informing them of all pertinent new client developments.
Have in-depth understanding of all transactional banking products. This includes how the product
functions, systems that support it, onboarding processes, how it contributes to the transactional
banking revenue and client value proposition.
Have a product strategy for targeted product uptake and drive, i.e., who to sell it to and pipeline clients
Define and manage internal SLAs between Transactional Banking and in-country product houses (e.g.,
Merchant Services, Cash, Digital, Ops, etc.) to ensure that they meet expectations.
Collaborate and manage new product development. This includes developing a business case,
acquiring necessary approvals (in-country and SA), defining the requirements and rules around the
product, and commercializing the product once it has been delivered in-country.
