Credit Controller

Branch: Ndola

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a competent and experienced credit controller to join our dynamic team. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for managing the debts of our company, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records of transactions. You will also communicate with customers and negotiate repayment plans, as well as handle any queries or issues related to credit control.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Diploma in Accounts, ACCA or CIMA, Certified Accountancy qualification with the relevant bodies and at least minimum 2 years experience in credit control or debt collection. You should also have excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You should be familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities will include the following;

  • Following up payments as needed
  • Proactively managing and collecting debts from clients
  • Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
  • Ensuring timely payment from clients
  • Negotiating repayment plans, and re-negotiating these if required
  • Resolving queries both internally and externally around payments and outstanding invoices
  • Processing payments and reconciliation of invoices
  • Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
  • Preparing statements, client status reports and other relevant information as required

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Accounts, ACCA or CIMA
  • Certified Accountancy qualification with the relevant bodies
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in credit control
