Creative Projects Coordinator
Twaabane Creative Centre aims to promote social and economic development in Simoonga through the provision of free, high-quality skills training and access to income-generating opportunities. We seek a dynamic Creative Projects Coordinator to join our team and ensure the effective implementation of our artisan product design and production in the Textile Studio.
The role is broad and includes line management of project staff, overseeing vocational training programmes and high-quality production, and maintaining a unique brand and vision for the centre. The Creative Projects Coordinator package includes a competitive salary and accommodation on-site.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong creative and design skills
- At least 3 years of experience in design or product development
- Experience with project management and line-managing others
- Experience with branding and marketing
- Understand the importance of quality skills development projects
- Have a sharp eye for detail and quality assurance
- Have a passion for community development and the artisan sector in Zambia and internationally
- Excellent written English and computer literacy

Job Description
- Product Design and Retail Management (30%)
Research and understand the needs of the market and design innovative high-quality products in-line with local and international demand - Consider ethical, local sourcing and environmentally friendly elements throughout the design and production processes
- Take a keen interest and participate in the artisan and trades industry in Zambia I.e. attend and represent Twaabane at local and national markets
- Present sample designs, conduct market-testing and adapt products in line with demand
- Propose product pricing in line with market
- Design and produce unique product labelling and packaging
- Build and maintain relationships and stocking systems with partners and stockists
- Maintain the Twaabane Foyer space
- Build collaborations with like-minded organisations, cooperatives, individuals, etc.
Creative Projects Management (30%)
- Manage the complete production process of all creative products
- Provide clear guidance and support to the creative teams e.g. product briefs, training, feedback sessions
- Create project plans, timetables, and systems to ensure quality assurance processes and timely delivery of projects
- Manage material and equipment sourcing and ensure competitive prices
- Maintain excellent relationships with trainers and creatives
- Line-manage the Textile Trainer
- Contribute toward the development of annual budgets in line with creative project needs
Branding, Marketing and Communication (20%)
- Manage the Twaabane website and social media channels
- Create high-quality, relevant content in line with data protection policies
- Regularly collate photographs, impact stories, and content as required for reports, marketing or communication purposes
- Set up and conduct tourist and visitor tours and workshops with lodge guests and retail buyers
Community (10%)
- Act as a strong link between the community and the centre
- Support the delivery of community and outreach programmes when required
- Develop strong partnerships with the school and community leaders
- Support the recruitment of community members into the Twaabane projects
Other (10%)
- Regularly update the Development Manager on the progress of projects
- Contribute toward the collection of Monitoring and Evaluation data for the projects
- Manage one-to-ones with line-managed staff, including professional development and reviews
- Perform other related duties as necessary
- Ensure that all work is in line with the centre’s policies
