Job Title: Community Mobilisers
Reports: Program/Project Officer(s)
Location: Lusaka and Kitwe, Zambia
Overview of the Role
Within this role, you will support community engagement activities and will oversee youth hub programming and activities in conjunction with the program officers as your supervisors and Community Mobiliser. Within this role, the Community Mobiliser will coordinate volunteers in different projects, manage day-to-day logistics of projects, and plan creative and meaningful activities/opportunities for volunteers. This work includes building strong relationships with volunteers and the overall staff at CRZ.
Main duties
- Facilitate communication between the health facilities and schools with regards to updates, activity implementation and any other commitments as assigned.
- Monitor outreach activities, youth hub activities and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor meetings and dialogue activities conducted in facilities and write activity reports.
- Support the monitoring and effective running of digital platforms such as WhatsApp groups, and Facebook pages.
- Support Program Officers in designing and implementation of targeted and evidence-based project strategies and interventions in schools, communities, and facilities.
- Ensure up to date project files with documents such as attendance registers, transport refund forms, distribution forms, activity reports and any other relevant project monitoring tools.
- Provides overall support in the implementation of project and youth hub activities.
- Build and maintain relations with volunteers, schools, communities, facilities, and stakeholders.
- Project management such as communication, writing activity and other reports as assigned.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, social or natural sciences, or a related field from a reputable University.
- Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Other Skills and Competencies
- Training and/or working knowledge in HIV/AIDS prevention and working with Adolescents in schools.
- Knowledge of Community works.
- Devoted and respectful individual with good interpersonal communication and team building Skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and local language.
- Fluent in English and local language for day-to-day communication.
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old.
- Local residents of Lusaka and Kitwe are encouraged to apply.
