Position: Translator (Chinese to English )
Location: Kabwe, Zambia
Start Date: Immediate

A manufacturing company in Kabwe, currently expanding with Phase 2 of its plant construction, is seeking a highly skilled Translator proficient in both Chinese and English to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will play a critical role in facilitating effective communication between our Chinese-speaking and English-speaking teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate written and spoken communications from Chinese to English and vice versa.
Assist in translating technical documents, reports, contracts, and other important materials related to the construction and manufacturing processes.
Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, site inspections, and project discussions.
Ensure that translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with company terminology.
Coordinate between Chinese contractors, engineers, and the local English-speaking team to ensure smooth communication on-site.

Requirements:

Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and spoken).
Previous experience in translation or interpretation, particularly in a technical or construction-related field, is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Information:

This is an immediate start position.
The work will be based at our plant construction site in Kabwe, Zambia.
The role may require occasional travel between various site locations.
