Job Title: Chief Executive Office Liaison Officer (EOL)
Location: Lusaka with a high possibility of relocation to Kitwe
Length of Contract: Start date to December 2025
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Expected Travel: National and international travel may be required (25%) including to remote districts
Position Overview
The Chief Executive Office Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO. This position ensures that planning, organizational, and administrative systems are effectively established and maintained. Acting as a key liaison between the CEO, staff, and external stakeholders, the Liaison Officer must anticipate needs, think critically, and provide proactive solutions with the utmost professionalism and discretion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing confidential matters with integrity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all correspondence and telephone inquiries on behalf of the CEO, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, appointments, and daily workflow, balancing and prioritizing multiple, often competing, demands.
- Act as a Liaison between the CEO and the CRZ board
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings, managing logistics, preparation of materials, and follow-up tasks to ensure seamless execution.
- Act as the “gatekeeper” and “gateway,” controlling direct access to the CEO’s time while ensuring key priorities are met.
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on issues, concerns, and inquiries addressed to the CEO, ensuring critical matters are resolved effectively.
- Facilitate smooth communication between the CEO’s office and internal departments, acting as a bridge for information and collaboration.
- Keep the CEO informed of key developments, upcoming commitments, and responsibilities, providing timely updates and reminders.
- Act as a “barometer” for the CEO, identifying relevant issues and trends within the organization and external environment.
- Assist in organizing agendas and logistics for senior management and CEO-led meetings, ensuring all aspects are well-coordinated.
- Plan and arrange travel itineraries, accommodations, and other logistics as needed.
- Prepare, submit, and track expense reports for reimbursement in a timely manner.
- Support and manage special projects and initiatives in which the CEO plays a leadership role, ensuring successful execution.
- Oversee the management of the CEO’s social media accounts, ensuring alignment with strategic messaging and priorities.
- Support the CEO branding and Communications on social media platforms
Executive Assistant Core Skills
- High degree of personal and professional integrity and the ability to work with confidential information.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to learn and anticipate the needs of the Chief Executive Officer.
- Ability to take part in occasional meetings and events outside of core business hours.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or Social Science or relevant study
- Grade 12 School Certificate with five credits including English and Mathematics.
- Experience as a strategic Executive Assistant is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience is required.
