Job Description


Goldenlay is the largest producer, supplier, and distributor of table eggs across Zambia, and boasting a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike. Goldenlay is hereby inviting applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill in the position for:

Cashier & Shop Keepers

Cashier

Responsibilities

  • Full accountability of cash receipts and other allocated duties
  • Accept and receipt cash and capture details into SAGE accounting system
  • Assist Accounts officers to compile sales commissions
  • Assisting Accounts officer in the compilation of distribution costs (council levy and tolls)
  • Adjudication of stock counts as per roster
  • Disburse cash to Drivers and Salesperson proceeding on deliveries
  •  Reconciliation of deposits to bank statements and capturing of receipts to close sales transaction in POS and accounting system
  • Attend to all related filling

Shop Keepers

Responsibilities

  • The complete management of a sales depot
  • Accounting for stocks, sales, mobile sales personnel and managing their sales
  • Daily banking and reconciling of daily stocks with sales
  • Ordering and receiving of stock
  • Ensure stocks safely and securely stacked and able to follow FIFO
  • To manage stocks sales effectively and accurately daily at depot in order to achieve sets sales targets
  • Perform stocktakes every morning and evening to reconcile with the receipts and sales stock
  • Able to use PoS system
  •  Safeguard all company assets and property

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full grade 12 certificate
  • Must have a Certificate/Diploma in Accounts
  • Must be computer literate with better skills in MS  applications i.e., Excel, Word
  • At-least 4 years work experience with a clean record
  • A mature and responsible individual preferably aged 25 years and above
  • Proven record of achieving targets.

OTHER SKILLS

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good communicator, able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Stable personality with passion for sales and marketing
  • Team player able to work with minimum supervision
  • Leadership, managerial skills, integrity and be honest
  • Fast learner and easy to adapt to new environments.
