CASHIER CUM SALES PERSON     

Duties and Essential Job Functions

• To handle cash and generate reports at the close of business each day
• To pass Journal entry for both payables and receivables
• To reconcile payable and receivable account
• Be able to attend to customers in a customer friendly way
• Be able to make sales in the field as needed
• Issue receipts, and invoices to customers.
• Be able to answer customer’s complaints and provide the necessary information on request.
• Prepare deposits, invoices for subsequent processing by accounts
• Compile non-monetary reports and records.
• Keep financial documents confidential
• Processing and recording transactions.
• Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, sending bill reminders, filing paper work
• Develop and improve upon existing marketing strategies
• Monitor market trends, analyze consumer market activities to identify opportunities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPEREINCE/SKILLS

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier.
• Great communications skills and customer service skills
• Grade 12 Certificate
• A tertiary qualification in Banking and finance or Accountancy.  A marketing qualification will be an added advantage
• Must have great product knowledge in order to pick up any pricing problems and effectively handle all pricing issues/product queries.
• Trustworthy, have high integrity with strong Communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy
• Should be self-motivated and able to solve Problems.
• Computer Literate
• Good math skills
• Pleasant and very neat appearance
