Job Description
This position reports to the Business Improvement Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership and Insight Generation
- Collaborate with the BI Team and senior leaders to provide financial partnership, ensuring optimal ROI on strategic projects.
- Generate and interpret business insights from data to uncover improvement opportunities and support informed trade-offs by the Executive Committee (EXCO).
- Support the process of developing and communicating business strategy.
- Support long-term achievement of full potential performance for the Country by identifying key areas for strategic development and financial growth.
Analysis, Reporting, and Visibility - Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop performance reports and dashboards to communicate insights to key stakeholders and senior management.
Strategic Initiative Support and Measurement
- Act as custodian of the tools, systems, and processes that track and measure progress towards strategic value realization, including Capex, and Performance Improvement Plans.
- Track quarterly progress against financial targets and integrate initiative financial costs and revenues into the annual budget.
- Coordinate with initiative teams to develop consistent metrics that align with overall program objectives.
Business Case Development and Validation
- Facilitate the development of robust business cases for projects, ensuring that team assumptions are thoroughly vetted.
- Conduct financial modelling, pressure test assumptions, and support due diligence on major Capex appraisals and investment options.

- Ensure business case forecasts are updated, validated, and consistent with strategic goals.
Financial Baseline and Performance Tracking - Establish and maintain a financial baseline for strategic programs, including capital projects and key initiatives.
- Track and report progress versus financial targets, escalating issues that may impact strategic value delivery.
- Support the integration of strategic initiatives into the annual financial plan, budgeting cycle, and cash flow management processes.
Risk Management and Issue Escalation
- Work closely with our organizational effectiveness team to manage Performance Improvement Projects tracking, cash flow, and budget processes, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Continuously monitor and review strategic initiatives, identifying risks and providing actionable recommendations for course corrections.
- Strong understanding of current business processes and data systems incl. SAP4HAN
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant 3 Year degree in economics or finance
- 3+ years analyst experience and demonstrated ability to execute successfully on independent projects with limited guidance.
- Professional management experience: Demonstrated analytical capabilities; prior “analyst” experience in investment management or management consulting preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial foundation
- Strong understanding of current business processes and data systems incl. SAP4HANA
