JOB OPPORTUNITY
Our Client, Mulungushi International Conference Centre is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join their Marketing and Sales Department.
Job Purpose

To identify new business opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and expand our client base, focusing on growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with government entities and international organizations to attract international conferences and conventions.
  • Identifies and coordinates opportunities to bid for international and local conventions.
  • Organizes and participates in trade fairs, expos, and similar events locally and abroad.
  • Prepares promotional publications and marketing materials, both manual and electronic.
  • Generates marketing statistics and comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborates with service providers such as hotels, hospitals, and security firms to deliver seamless services.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a business-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in a comparable organization.

Attributes and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and corporate communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in marketing, sales, and business development with a strategic and results-oriented approach.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to prepare detailed reports, marketing statistics, and strategies.
  • Innovative and proactive, with experience in organizing trade fairs, expos, and collaborating with diverse service providers.
