The Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation PLC (ZAFFICO) is a listed and publicly traded company whose mission is to establish and manage industrial exotic forest plantations and agroforestry products in order to meet demand and maximize return on investment.

In pursuance of its mission and strategic goals, the Corporation is now inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the under listed position:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMET MANAGER

REPORTING TO: DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

JOB PURPOSE

To work in liaison with the Director, Business Development and other members of the operational and business development team in the generation and management of a sustainable business of the Corporation that reflects the current and anticipated business strategy and business plans.

MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Expand the existing network of customers to sustainably grow ZAFFICO business while at the same time, engage with customers to anticipate potential business opportunities and implement actions that will position ZAFFICO with differentiated advantage.
• Be able to take the lead on client relationships to ensure a robust client relationships management strategy/delivery.
• Undertake periodic monitoring and evaluation on the execution of strategic projects and programmes of the Corporation to ensure the attainment of the strategic objectives of the Corporation.
• Identify and assess business opportunities in which the Corporation should venture in to ensure diversification in line with its core business focus.
• Develop and test unique business strategies and concepts.
• Collect strategic data and information in order to facilitate informed strategic decisions for the Corporation.
• Ensures timely development of individual and section work-plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
• Preform any other related duties as may be delegated by the superior or supervisor from time to time.

1.1 MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full Grade twelve (12) Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Economics, Business Administration and/or related fields.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or any relevant post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least five (5) years of proven experience in a reputable organisation with a traceable record in strategic planning and business development.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to compile, analyse and interpret data as well as write comprehensive reports and other documents.
