Kawambwa Area – Northern Zambia: Our client is looking for an Avocado Manager to join the team.This position is a fixed term contract between 1-2 years with potential of renewal.Due to the remote location this position will be best suited to a single person or couple with no kids.Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture
- 5 + years of Avocado experience
- Knowledge of commercial Avocado farming and strong understanding of Avocado production
- Must have experience with report writing and budget preparation
- Excellent planning, organising, supervision and admin skills
Responsibilities
- Land development and Field preparation for planting
- Daily planning, organising, supervision and administration of Field activities including work force.
- Operation of fertigation system
- Technical nutrition, pest, and disease management
- Report writing
- Budget preparation
- Maintain compliance with Global Gap and other agency standards
