Job Description
To manage business unit relationships in the achievement of business unit objectives and overall bank objectives through implementation of the human resources strategy and provide a framework for management of employee relations.
Main Accountabilities
• Manage activities required to deliver business unit employee lifecycle products and services such as recruitment, assessment, induction, rewards, performance evaluation, training and industrial relations.
• Maintain and build effective relationships with the business units, ensuring that they receive the necessary guidance to plan effective Human Resources interventions.
• Execute the business unit Human Resources direction in terms of providing stakeholder and regulatory reporting, implement Human Resources operational plans and Human Resources change initiatives, communicate and ensure effective implementation of Human Resources policy, procedure and policy management.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of opportunities for the delivery of Human Resources services in the Business Unit, oversee Human Resources products and service utilization and deliver Human Resources related communication to the Business Unit.
• Align Human Resources solutions with Business Unit needs; deliver quality service and support around Human Resources solutions such as talent management, skill audits, and performance management.
• Execute and support leadership development and graduate recruitment programmes in partnership with line management.
• Advise line management on disciplinary actions, employment arrangements and industrial relations.
• Provide framework for two-way communication in the business unit, create shared mindset and foster employee loyalty to the bank’s values within the Human Resources strategy
• Implement solutions to embed a high-performance culture, including effective setting of performance measures and coaching.
• Effectively service and manage relationships with the business including the provision of Human Resources management information and statistics as well as providing professional advice and coaching on all Human Resources issues.
• Champion and execute Human Resources special projects as assigned and proactively identify and develop opportunities for Human Resources process enhancement.
• Provide human resources expertise on projects.
Qualifications and Experience
• BSc/BA/BBA in Human Resources Management/ Social Sciences or equivalent plus valid practicing license
• Three (3) Years work experience.
• Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Levels (Credit or better).
