The Company Seeks the Services of a Artisan Plant Fitter x1

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing winder plant and equipment effectively, efficiently and safely to achieve optimum availability.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Carrying out routine planned maintenance to ensure optimum equipment and plant availability.
2. Carrying out planned adhoc plant maintenance as well as repairs to plant and equipment in accordance with job card instructions and approved drawings.
3. Monitoring equipment and plant condition to prevent further deterioration.
4. Adhering to Statutory and Domestic Regulations on Health, Safety and Environment particularly those relating to Safe Working Practices.
5. Reporting work-in-progress to Supervisors.
6. Ensuring optimum plant/equipment availability.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
2. Craft Certificate in Plant Fitting.
3. A Technician’s Certificate in Plant Fitting will be an added advantage.
4. Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
5. Must be physically fit and with necessary dexterity to work with tools.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
