The Company Seeks the Services of Artisan Machinist/Turner x1

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and reconditioning of components for the plant in order to conform to the objective of the company and Engineering policy.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Carrying out risk assessment of every task and work area before the shift.
2. Reviewing drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
3. Planning proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment within the set time.
4. Utilizing material provided or available to acceptable standards within set cost estimates.
5. Inspecting equipment, machinery and tools daily and correct or report any defects to the supervisor.
6. Ensuring good housekeeping.
7. Recording relevant shift information daily on the job card.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate.
2. Advanced/Technician/Craft Certificate in Machining.
3. Good Problem-solving skills.
4. At least 2 years of work experience.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
