Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, repair and installation work on electrical machines.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Guiding, training, developing and motivating subordinates to ensure that acceptable work quality standards are maintained.
2. Ensuring that quality workmanship is achieved through the use of safe working tools and procedures.
3. Maintaining of tools after completion of tasks.
4. Examining electrical installations and determining faults and spare parts required.
5. Signing off the work orders after completion of the tasks and handing them over to the supervisor.
6. Repairing of electrical machines in accordance to the laid down procedures (Refer to Safe Working Procedures).
7. Interpreting of the information when carrying out data in the process of repairing electrical machines.
8. Submitting of daily check lists to the supervisor.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate.
2. Craft Certificate in Electrical.
3. Technician Certificate in Electrical will be an added advantage.
4. Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
