Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out civil construction and maintenance works to all company buildings, structures and assets.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Receiving instructions from the Supervisor and planning work accordingly to ensure tasks are completed to the requirement standard and timely.
2. Maintaining/repairing the equipment in the section to ensure maximum availability.
3. Utilizing resources available to ensure work is completed to set standards and within the budget.
4. Equipment, tools and work areas are kept clean and tidy after use in order to work efficiently and safely.
5. Ensuring total completion of all relevant documents to enable effective information transfer from Team Lead/Supervisor to Management.
6. Working according to set standards to reduce losses due to poor workmanship.
7. Adhering to Statutory and Domestic Regulations relating to the safe Work Procedures to minimize injury to personnel, polluting the environment and damage to company assets.
8. Driving the Health, Safety and Environment Standards/Policy Awareness and Practice in the Department to ensure compliance.
9. Adhering to all other assignments given that are lawful and fair.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
2. Craft Certificate in Bricklaying.
3. Knowledge in plumbing and painting will be an added advantage.
4. Registered with EIZ
5. At least 2 years of work experience.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
