Job Description:

RKTC Overseas Investments Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in Mkushi District and most possess among other attributes, a comprehensive understanding of farming regions in Central Province and the Copperbelt regions.

Responsibilities:

Conduct field assessments to analyze soil and crop conditions in Mkushi District and surrounding areas.
Provide expert advice on crop selection, planting and fertilizer application techniques and crop management practices.
Develop and implement efficient crop management plans to optimize yield and minimize environmental impact.
Collaborate with local farmers to deliver technical assistance and support through training programs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of agricultural practices, recommending improvements as necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in agronomy.
Maintain accurate records and reports on crop performance, pest control measures, and soil health.
Work closely with local agricultural authorities and extension services to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of a diploma in agriculture or related field.
Proven experience as an Agronomist or in a similar role.
Knowledge of farming practices in Central Province and the Copperbelt regions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid motorbike driver’s license.
