Fountain of Good Sport Community Foundation is a community based and youthled non-profit organization. Our mission is human development through Sport.
We recognize the value and importance of involving external stakeholders from appropriate fields (business and industry, government, education, and others) in the development, delivery, and promotion of our multi-sport programs.
The role of an advisory board member is to provide current knowledge, critical thinking and analysis to increase the confidence of the management.
The board member will provide support and advice to programs, assist in the development of new programs, and identify best-practice standards.
Responsibilities.
Attend board meetings and other events/functions as requested. Review agenda and supporting materials prior to board meetings.
Be informed about the program(s); participants, curriculum, services/supports, and activities.
Successful candidate will also be able to identify and present opportunities for the organization and serve as an ambassador and advocate to the program(s), providing a connection to and ongoing exchange of information and ideas with practitioners in the field and other external contacts.
Should be a self-starter ready to start working immediately and drive the organization from it’s current status to that of an international standard.

Work with program staff and other board members to ensure that the organization is up to date and relevant to current business, industry, labor, and professional employment practices.
Assist with program marketing and promotion.
Assist in identification and acquisition (when appropriate) of external funding and resources to support the children and programs (e.g., tournaments, program materials, and other resources).
