Puzzlepie Event Engineering, an established AV Media company with German roots, is expanding its footprint in Zambia, and we’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team! Position: Accounts Assistant
Reporting To: Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

*Financial Accuracy: Support the team by accurately posting and cleaning up the General Ledger in QuickBooks and EasyJob.
*Account Reconciliation: Ensure transactions are posted to the correct accounts, correcting entries as needed with bypassing and reversing journals.
*Compliance & Timely Tax Payments: Monitor all payments, compute taxes, and ensure timely submission to avoid penalties.
*Payroll and Tax Coordination: Collaborate with the Accountant on PAYE, VAT, License Fees, and Company Tax calculations.
*Account Analysis: Conduct weekly/monthly analysis of General Ledger accounts, recommending actions on outstanding balances.
*Clearing & Matching Accounts: Regularly match general ledger accounts, working to reduce open items and improve financial accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience:

*Diploma in Accounts or nearing completion as a CA Zambia, ACCA, or CIMA finalist.
*Experience: 2–5 years in a similar accounting role, with at least 1–2 years of practical experience with QuickBooks.
*Professional Membership: Must be a ZICA member.

Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning and improvement.
