Job Purpose:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role demands precision, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to financial management in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, and expenditure to support effective financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws, statutory returns, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Provide timely financial insights to management to inform decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Degree preferred).
• Membership with ZICA (at least Technician or Licentiate level) will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry will be an added advantage.
