Job Summary:

Metro SDA Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Monitor and report on the hospital’s financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Develop and implement efficient financial systems, policies, and procedures.
• Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
• Liaise with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,pastel, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
