WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
Our Client a leading manufacturer in the construction materials industry, specializing in ceramics, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of materials and products.
Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of construction materials, including ceramics, ensuring timely availability of inventory for production.
Develop and implement inventory management procedures to optimize stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and ensure accurate records.
Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels, initiate purchase orders, and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of materials.
Plan and schedule the dispatch of finished products, coordinating with the production team and logistics department to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all warehouse staff and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Train and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the team’s productivity and development.
Conduct regular audits to assess inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in the manufacturing industry, specifically working with construction material
Member of CIPS/ ZILT
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics procedures.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and experience in implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and inventory control.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
