Kagem is seeking remarkable candidates to join the team, in the position of Manager Supply Chain Services, Assistant Manager Supply Chain Services, Assistant Supply Chain Services Officer and Storekeeper.

MANAGER-SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICES (1 POSITION)

Reports to: Head Supply Chain Services

Job Purpose: To provide effective supervision to staff and ensure quality standards are maintained in procurement and supply of materials to end users.

Principle Accountabilities

• Enforce company policies and government statutory requirements to ensure transparency in materials management.
• Ensure effective and efficient procurement process in order to provide materials to user department at the right time, with right quality.
• Effective utilization of FIFO/FEFO during issuing to minimize shrinkage of inventory.
• Effective procurement to be carried out to minimize inventory carrying cost by monitoring safety stock levels.
• Provide support to HOD/senior management for preparation of budgetary proposals.
• Liaison with vendors to ensure quality materials are supplied, to avoid rejection by end users.
• Strive to standardize the materials by developing genuine vendors and codifying them in Business Central.
• Ensure data security relating to Supply Chain Services department, and accounting of all materials in the software.
• Maintain discipline amongst staff and provide periodical in house training for staff development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate Diploma – CIPS/Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supplies/ Business Administration
• Minimum 10 years work experience in Materials Management with at least 4 years at senior level.
• Paid up member of ZIPS.
• Excellent analytical and evaluation skills.
• Good command of oral and written communication Computer literate.
