Job Description


Development Three Sixty seeks highly motivated candidates to work as interns in the program and creative departments from March to June 2023 with a possibility of extension depending on available of funds. The Interns will work on Community Development projects with collaborations from diverse partners to build resilient ecosystems through community driven solutions. The successful candidate will provide support for multiple programs, including SRHR, Water and Sanitation, Environmental Conservation and Civic Engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to gain exposure to several different programs and work with an NGO that has a focus on community and global engagements.

The ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced, friendly office environment, especially in a creative, programmatic or administrative capacity. The interns must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have strong data management and quantitative reasoning skills. Candidates with additional research experience and strong written communication skills are also desirable, a team player and ability to think outside the box.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.)   Programs Intern

Roles and Responsibilities

The Intern will be responsible for supporting the implementation of assigned Development Three Sixty programs with oversight from Program Manager. Key responsibilities and level of effort include:

  • Conduct relevant  research as needed,
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms,
  • Contributing to citizen mobilisation and training events,
  • Contributing to project training activities,
  • Undertaking media appearances as assigned.
  • Contributing to various project’s activities as set out in various projects plans.
  • Prepare and process relevant procurement documents including memos, contracts, modifications, and purchase orders
  • Assist with proposal development, review and delivery
  • Liaise with field staff and Program Coordinators to develop case studies and success stories as well as support department and program social media presence
  • Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned by project supervisors.

2.) Creative Intern

Roles & Responsibilities

The Creative Intern is a strategic and creative thinker with a passion for all things creative.

  • He/she will work closely with our Creative Team to bring attention to our Campaigns and Content Production.
  • Develop support materials like brochures, flyers, scripts, videos and field communication
  • Managing the social media calendar.
  • Brainstorming campaign ideas.
  • Posting on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to identify new ways of connecting people through forward-thinking digital solutions.
  • Content Creation, Content Production styling and concepts

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Portfolio of graphic works / social media content  / interactive creatives such as videos, photos, etc
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Creative mindset.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Familiar with video content production – styling, filming and editing
  • Relevant designing/creative experience
  • Passion for creative innovation
  • Very good communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills keeping up to latest trends
  • Proactive and self-motivated, highly curious, collaborative and creative thinker
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

As Development 360 operates with a small team, all staff are periodically expected to support activities not set out in their contract as required to meet organizational objectives

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Holds a diploma or Degree in Developments Studies, Demography, Mass Communication, International Relations or related field.

Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team, especially cross-cultural, to meet program needs

Monitoring and evaluation, data management and analysis skills required

Experience with data collection, and conducting research

Ability to manage diverse activities and supervisors, meet competing deadlines, and have flexibility in changing situations and priorities

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

Knowledge in local language preferably Lozi, Tonga, Nyanja and Bemba.

Preference will be givento livingstone residents
