Job Description


Job Purpose
The Marketing Team Lead will be responsible for growing the Company’s market share. Innovate and launch new services and products or pivot from existing models. Take the lead in the designing and execution of sales force enhancement and marketing strategies, policies and programs. Participate in the development and implementation of the brand strategy to raise brand awareness, visibility and positioning hence increasing product/service value in the market.

 

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities;

  • Take the lead in creating marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
  • Prepare Annual Marketing budget for the Regional Office
  • Set Digital Marketing Strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs)
  • Work with Head Marketing and PR to implement communications strategies
  • Formulate and Implement the Digital Marketing strategy
  • Implement a well-articulated market retention strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring the launch & post-launch
    phases of the product lifecycle as well as overseeing promotional
    activities
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, semi-annual and Annual Reports for the Regional Office
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, product development, and brand management
  • Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels
  • Help to draft and edit communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
  • Build strong clients relationships through social media interaction
  • Keep up-to-date with our audience’s preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns
  • Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Design and Content teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency
  • Collect customer data and analyses interactions and visits, plus uses this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Assist in proposing Price strategy for every model.
  • Oversee the planning, development and execution of advertising campaigns to improve product visibility.
  • Maintain a well-articulated market retention strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    Prepare
    Annual Marketing budget for advertisements, promotional events and all
    types of expenses involved in marketing the services offered at the
    Regional Level
  • Coordinate market research studies to determine potential sales of a product or service. Analyses sales coverage, market size, competitors, penetration and product preferences.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing or any other Business related discipline
  • Must have at least a minimum of 4-6 years experience in Marketing or a related role
  • Must be well-vested in Digital Marketing with more than 2 years of proven experience
  • Strong in analysing market data, planning and price calculation
  • Regional Marketing experience will be a plus
  • Must be up to date with Digital Marketing Channels
  • Hands-on experience with online marketing tools and practices
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
