Purpose of the role:

To provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for the Hitachi EX5600 and EH4000 mining excavators, and providing solutions to any technical issues to ensure that the equipment is operating efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

The Fleet Technical Support will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for the Hitachi EX5600 Mining Excavator and EH4000 mining trucks.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide on-site support, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Provide training for customers on the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment.
• Analyze and diagnose technical problems and provide solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with the product development team to improve product design and functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and equipment maintenance.
• Provide feedback to management on equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support, maintenance, or repair of heavy equipment, specifically mining excavators.
• Experience with Hitachi EX5600 excavators and EH4000 mining trucks is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Practicing Member of EIZ
