JTI is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join the Leaf Operations department in Kaoma, Western Province.
This position exists to provide support to the Site Operations department through managing of the site warehouse functions by coordinating with all departments to ensure coherence and understanding of warehouse operations. The focus of the role is to supervise Green Leaf Tobacco in the warehouse from receiving, stacking in the correct category to ensure JTI quality/ standards are maintained prior to dispatching for processing including recording and reconciling stocks and other inputs in corporate database.
The position is responsible for the following:
- Supervise the receipt of crop inputs and non-tobacco related materials in the warehouse including stacking, proper/safe storage and facilitating timely issuance based on approved input distribution orders to ensure support to the tobacco planting season.
- Supervise the seasonal workforce in with regards to completing the attendance register, execution of daily tasks and adherence to safe work procedures to meet warehouse management targets effectively and efficiently within specified timeframe.
- Ensures all bin cards are placed on all stock items and updated timely to mitigate loss of information.
- Ensure all purchased Tobacco bales are reconciled with Leaf Point on the day of purchase as well as analyze and report any discrepancies.
- Provide a safe work environment in terms of employee safety policy and procedures and maintain acceptable housekeeping standards within the warehouse and support all other employees, visitors and contractors.
Requirements
- Essentially, a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
- Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing or Stores
