Job Description


The Position:

Location: Ndola

  • Type of contract: Open ended
  • Classification: Reporting to the Regional Manager Copperbelt & General Manager Zambia
  • Trial period: 3 months (Probation)
  • Function: Financial Manager Copperbelt Region
  • Availability: from 25th September 2022

Requirements:

Level of study & Experience

  • Hold a minimum of BAC + 2 diploma or the equivalent, in Finance and
  • Control, Accounting and/or equivalent. Chartered Accountant + MBA advantage University
    degree
  • Have a professional experience of at least 5 years+ in Finance
  • Logistics Experience bonus

Know how :

  • Financial risk management
  • Cost optimization and budget monitoring
  • Development of financial and accounting procedures
  • Definition of financial objectives
  • Team management
  • Mastery English and other languages (bonus)

ROLE:

  • Supervision of accounting and financial activities;
  • Carry out financial and accounting audits (possibly in other agencies in Zambia
  • Audit the accounting closures;
  • Analyze the files (invoiced, not invoiced, in losses, without movements, abnormal movements,
    and implement corrective actions;
  • Analyze margins and ensure their consistency;
  • Analyze the operational/structural costs of the different departments/agencies and the
    optimize in agreement with management;
  • Ensure that financial and accounting procedures are applied and up to date;
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis at the request of management (cost studies, pricing, analysis of
    markets, …) for Zambia;
  • Identify the risks related to the processes, areas, agencies, projects or incidents audited;
  • Identify the internal control systems put in place to cover these risks;
  • Make recommendations for improvement and decision support;
  • Present the conclusions of the missions to the operational staff and the management;
  • Ensure periodic monitoring of the implementation of action plans;
  • Analysis and revision of budget sheets in collaboration with operations and ensuring their
    proper
  • Weekly and monthly reporting in relation to the elements included in the previous points
    according to the reporting files set up for Zambia
  • Improvement and monitoring of Financing & Logistics software;
  • Check supplier pricing;
  • Follow up on customer accounts;
  • Manage cashflow;
  • Ensure for cashflow for future investments;
  • Draw up investment strategies;
  • Deal with the local and international banks;
  • Be aware of what currency exchanges can provide for opportunities in the field;
  • Management of all requests from his hierarchy.
