The Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) is a body corporate established under the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Act No. 13 of 1998 and the TEVET (Amendment) Act No. 11 of 2005.

TEVETA was established to regulate, monitor and co-ordinate Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training in consultation with industry, employers, workers and other stakeholders.
TEVETA wishes to recruit a qualified and experienced Zambian for the following vacancy which has arisen.

SPECIALIST-TRAINING SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Manager-Training Systems Development, the jobholder will be responsible for Developing and promoting training systems and innovations in TEVET in order to increase access to and participation in TEVET.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These will include:

a) Promoting participation of Employers, MSME operators and support Services providers in skills development

b) Developing, analyzing and evaluating training requirements for different training systems/pathways.

c) Developing and promoting implementation of guidelines for all learning systems/pathways. d) Promoting the implementation of tracer studies by training institutions in the TEVET sector.

e) Maintaining a database of student enrolments in the defined training systems across the TEVET sector, including persons with disabilities and female learners in a male dominated TEVET sector.

f) Maintaining close liaison with industry and other key stakeholders in skills development.

B) Conducting research to facilitate for the establishment of an innovative TEVET sector.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 School Certificate with minimum of six credits
• University degree in education, technical or business field
• A teaching qualification

Minimum Experience

Three years relevant experience in industry or training equivalent
