Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia works with the world’s most cherished trademark and invests in the most exciting events. Our Office currently has the following opportunity available for a dynamic individual with energy and initiative, keen to impact from the outset.

The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and will lead and support the team so that manufacturing, quality and maintenance targets are achieved in the most cost effective and efficient manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that maintenance plans exist for all equipment in utilities
To draw up and communicate a business plans annually so that direction and objectives of the department are optimally planned, executed and monitored in line with CCBZ strategic objectives
Monitor input material utilisation plans, people development plans, unit structure, suggested projects, timelines and technology/equipment, which will include Capex planning for Utilities
Define performance goals for equipment utilisation, input material utilisation, quality performance goals (utilities), efficiencies and training and development requirements
To drive World Class Manufacturing initiatives in the Utility environment
To manage and support team leaders and team to achieve production, maintenance and quality targets in a cost effective manner

Ensure Work instructions are in line with The Coca-Cola Quality System and updated (as and when required) for every machine and activity (operational, maintenance, safety, quality, sanitation, housekeeping, etc.)
Continuously monitor expenses and initiate actions to control expenses within budget
To encourage, assist, support and coach Team Leaders so that departmental targets, performance and future challenges are achieved effectively
To manage, implement and actively support change interventions and projects to encourage the unit to internalise changes to meet operational targets
Skills, Experience & Education

Qualifcations

BSc (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Electronics )
Member of EIZ
Certification as required in the Country of operation.
3 Years in a leadership role in a Utility environment.
5 years Engineering experience in a FMCG environment
Technical experience with Air Compressors, Generators, Refrigeration Systems, Diesel Boilers, Waste Water & Water Treatment Systems and Carbon Dioxide Production/Recovery will be an added advantage
Comptencies

Understanding of The Manufacturing Way / WCM / Lean practices and principles.
Detailed knowledge of Manufacturing processes.
A good understanding of the Change Management process and OD principles.
Excellent MS Office skills
Good organisational abilities.
A self-starter with high energy level.
Continuous Improvement mindset
Ability to identify gaps and initiate improvement activities.
Understanding of SHE policies and procedures
Financial interpretation
Project Management
General
