Job Description
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS.
- Doctor of Medicine.
- Experience as a practicing clinician for a minimum of 5 years.
- Strong scientific research or clinical background in either Oncology or NCDs and HIV
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
- Experience in clinical trials, either as investigator or as industry medical representative.
- Some grasp of regulatory activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with successful presentation capabilities, in English.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Experience in Marketing including digital marketing.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise and new insights in areas of NAI, STM and DMD areas of business interest.
- Reviews and critically appraises the scientific basis and merits of the evidence pertaining various products, services and solutions identified by BD team for further development.
- Support the management team with medical expertise and contribute to the overall corporate strategy.
- Identifies, and /or sources peer reviewed articles an journal publications for inclusion in write – ups in product development, product launches, Continuous Professional Development programs and Marketing materials.
- Contribute to the development of robust product development plans for each program, including providing content for clinical development and other sections, as needed.
- Identify and establish relationships with leading KOL’s and principal investigators.
- Provides trainings to BD and Marketing Teams including managers and medical representatives on identified products, services or solutions.
- Works with the training an education team in developing training materials and delivering trainings on products of interest for corporate clients, MOH, and other clients.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with KOLs, Organizes and runs KOL meetings and advisory Boards, as needed.
- Contributes to the development of regulatory strategy and act as the medical expert in meetings with regulatory authorities. Also, addresses regulatory queries.
- Serves as a reference point for clinical and scientific queries emanating from the country BD, marketing and sales teams.
- Participate in and supports product launches and CPD events.
REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS.
- Versatile, open minded; willing to learn and take on both “important” as well as “small” tasks and duties on different levels.
- Preferably younger that 35 years of age.
- Maintains deep scientific knowledge and pays attention to detail.
- Builds wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the Organization, across a diverse spectrum of people.
- Strong ability to command respect from KOLs wit a high level of personal integrity. Gathers comprehensive information to support decision making.
- Deals with ambiguity, making positive use of the opportunities it presents, adapts to changing circumstances.
- Works productively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment and balances the demands of work and personal life.
