The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency is a Statutory Body established by the Compulsory Standards Act Chapter 422 of the Laws of Zambia, whose mandate is to administer, maintain, and ensure compliance with Compulsory Standards.

The Agency wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the vacant positions of Manager Internal Audit, Internal Auditor ICT, Senior Information and Communications Technology Officer, Information and Communication Technology Officer – Applications, Assistant Procurement Officer and Office Assistant.

3. SENIOR INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (ZCS 04)

A. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises effectively the installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance of ICT hardware in order to meet end-user requirements.
• Supervises effectively the installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance of IT software in order to facilitate service provision.
• Supervises effectively the provision of ICT systems security in order to safeguard the integrity of the Agency data and prevent unauthorised access.
• Supervises effectively capacity building of end-users in order to enable them to effectively utilise various ICT Systems in the performance of their work.
• Supervises effectively the alignment of ICT hardware and networks systems specifications with user requirements in order to conform to policies.
• Supervises effectively the provision of first line software, hardware and network support and helpdesk services for users in order to resolve their issues.
• Supervises effectively the maintenance of the Agency websites and portals in order to ensure that the sites have updated content.
• Undertakes effectively the development and implementation of disaster recovery measures in order to ensure business continuity.

B. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Full Form V/Grade 12 School certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
• Certification in network and systems administration (CCNA/MCSE)
• Member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Able to write a technical report
• Able to communicate effectively in English
