Job Description

SOLWEZI REGION JOB VACANCIES
Job Role: Stock Controller
Responsibilities:
To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Enter purchase details (vendor’s information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
- Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
- Track shipments and address any delays
- Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
- Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
- Coordinate regular inventory audits
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
- Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
Education/Experience:
- Grade 12 school certificate
- Computer certificate or a diploma in Computer Studies
- Diploma in Purchase and Supply (is an added advantage)
- 1–2 years of experience in Stock Management
- Basic knowledge in data analysis
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Candidate should be medically fit
Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:
- Basic maths skills
- Basic knowledge in computer skills (proficient in Excel)
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Age requirement – usually 18+ in Zambia
Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance
