Duties & Responsibilities Supervision:

  • Daily supervision of CMS application
  • Supervise fuel consumption.
  • Control overtimes / attendance and plan shift arrangement.
  • Inspect field for CMS application before entering fields.
  • To familiarise yourself with the requirements of Occupational and Safety Act, and Regulations that apply at your workplace and ensure that you comply with these requirements.
  • To perform monthly inspections of your workplace, using the checklist provided to identify any hazards or potential hazards.
  • To liaise with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives when they are performing their inspections.
  • To participate in incident and accident investigation when happen in your workstation and other instructions, duties, functions and responsibilities within your
  • framework as may be assigned to you by your immediate manager and or General Manager.
  • Comply with company code of conduct, policies, and procedures

 

Health & Safety – Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ensure operations are safe to work by conducting TAKE 5 and root assessment on site.
  • To participate in incident and accident investigation when happen in your workstation.
  • To perform monthly inspections of your workplace, using the checklist provided to identify any hazards or potential hazards
  • To familiarise yourself with the requirements of Occupational and Safety Act, and Regulations that apply at your workplace and ensure that you comply with these requirements.

Job Advert Summary Unitrans is seeking to employ an experienced Field Supervisor in it’s Agriculture division. Field supervisors are responsible for coordinating and managing all the operations performed by heavy equipment such as grader, excavator, bulldozer, compactor, dumpers etc. Field Supervisor is responsible in initiating, planning, co-ordinating motivating and supervising all operations and ensuring that the customers receive efficient and timeous service.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Experience in a similar role: At least 2 years in a supervisory role in Agriculture

• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Leadership skills
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Ability to interpret and execute instructions.
• Time management
• Judgement and decision-making skills
